Project information
Working with series of unoccupied buildings on the High Street Canterbury, addressed food poverty issues through design, utilizing hand drawings and renderings to communicate the concept. Community hub would grow seasonal fruits and vegetables on the first floor, providing dignifying hot meals prepared by volunteers on the ground floor. Besides the kitchen, the ground floor restaurant will also incorporate collection of books and seeds to borrow. Whilst library will provide food for thought, Fruit and Veg beds are carried between floors on hydraulic platforms, literally putting food on the table. This holistic approach caters to the needs of both the body and the mind of the community.
